MERCURY RETROGRADE

Mercury is starting its retrograde journey in ARIES today, lasting until April 26th. It’s essential to understand that Mercury retrograde isn’t always a negative occurrence. Instead, it offers a chance to turn inward and engage in meaningful introspection. It's time to look back and RE-analyze things. MERCURY is the Planet that represents communication. It rules GEMINI. It rules our mind. Mercury is versatile, adaptable, curious, eloquent.... Look into which house Mercury will be in during this month in your birth chart. That's the area of your life in emphasis when it comes to re-evaluating things related to Mercury. How are you communicating in that area of life? How are you expressing yourself? During this period, take the opportunity to have important conversations with yourself. Use this time for reflection to gain clarity about your direction and the decisions ahead.

Here are a few reminders:

  • If there's a hiccup or a mishap, it's worth pondering if it was genuinely in alignment from the beginning. Take this as a chance to reconstruct and enhance it.

  • Don't let the notion of Mercury retrograde set a negative tone. Not everything will spiral out of control just because of it. Keep your wits about you and stay ahead in handling any hurdles that surface.

  • Be mindful of your language. With Mercury retrograde, miscommunication is more prone to occur, so deliberate before you articulate.

WHAT TRULY MEANS TO A PLANET TO GO RETROGRADE?

When a planet goes retrograde, it appears to move backward in its orbit from our perspective on Earth. This phenomenon happens because of differences in the speeds of the planets in their orbits around the Sun. In reality, planets don't actually reverse their direction; it's an optical illusion.

Astrologically, when a planet goes retrograde, its energy is believed to become more introspective and reflective. This period often prompts us to review, reassess, and reconsider matters related to the planet's themes in our lives.

For example:

  • Mercury retrograde: Challenges in communication, technology, and travel.

  • Venus retrograde: Relationship issues, self-worth, and financial matters.

  • Mars retrograde: Conflicts, aggression, and energy management.

  • Jupiter retrograde: Expansion, belief systems, and personal growth.

  • Saturn retrograde: Responsibility, structure, and limitations.

  • Uranus retrograde: Individuality, rebellion, and sudden changes.

  • Neptune retrograde: Imagination, spirituality, and illusion.

  • Pluto retrograde: Transformation, power dynamics, and hidden truths.

During retrograde periods, it's often advised to take a step back, reflect on past experiences, and reconsider our approaches to the areas of life governed by the retrograding planet. It's a time for inner work, introspection, and reevaluation rather than pushing forward with new initiatives.
